Thanks to all of you who were able to attend the parent meeting tonight! We had a great turnout!
Doreen reviewed the party plan, committees, committee needs and vision for this event. There will be lots of opportunities for help so jump in wherever you can!
A few highlights:
1. We need a place to do our prep for all of the decorations! In the past, we have had access to district buildings but this year, none of these sites are available. If anyone knows of any open/large room-type space that we can use for this purpose, please contact Doreen right away! The space would need heat, electricity, and access to a bathroom :). If we are not able to find a place that we can use without charge, we will have to locate a space to rent. This will be unfortunate since it will take money away from the prizes/food/etc for the party itself! Think...think think...
2. We need a few more committee leads:
Security Committee Head is responsible for creating lanyard packets for each attendee (casino money, flyer) and for organizing the security for the night of the party. (Volunteers are actually organized through the volunteer coordinator but Security Committee Head would be the Lead person that night for these particular volunteers).
Fundraising Committee Head is responsible for creating fundraising opportunities for the party throughout the year. Many ideas are already in the works.
3. Senior Party Vendor Fair is planned for Saturday, December 13 at 9:00 am at Door 6. We are currently looking for Vendors for this exciting event! Contact Molly Haskins for more information!
4. Be sure to sign up to follow this blog in order to get up-to-date information as it comes out! Another resource for more information is the Senior Party Webpage on the Mayo High School website: mayo.rochester.k12.mn.us. The link is also available on the right.
5. Sign up for Senior Party! The price will go up so don't delay! Sign Up form is available on the right.
6. Send us your donation! We welcome and encourage each family to provide a donation to help support the Senior Party. You probably received information in the mail explaining more about Senior Party and asking for your support. Send it in today!
